Damn she salty. 🤪 Second leg of the trip was Salt Lake City! Don’t be fooled by this picture though, the Salt flats were not 👏🏼 a👏🏼good👏🏼time👏🏼for👏🏼me!👏🏼
But it’s funny now that it’s over so I’ll tell ya.😜

I got stuck in the mud on the side of the road while taking this very picture and I legit thought that’s how I was going to die 😂🥴 I’ve never gotten a car more stuck than my car was in this damn salt flat.

BUT a nice man came to my rescue and pulled me out of the mud instead of murdering me, so I guess there are still great people in this world! 😂👏🏼 Now the only thing salty is my car and my attitude because I have to go get a car wash 🧼 🚗😂

Took a trip to the moon today 🌚 Let me tell you... exploring caves by yourself after it just snowed is not 👏🏼 smart 👏🏼

I went into all of them besides the one you have to crawl in with a flashlight. I wanted to, but I was like ok no that’s stupid, we want to live through this trip.😂 🥴

My easy breezy 1.5 mile hike turned into a 4 mile hike because of road closures and my phone dropped from 90% to 10% at the very start of the trek, so let’s just say it’s been interesting😜 But I only fell once so that’s a victory.

As you may know, I recently hit the 2-year mark as a business owner, so I wanted to share some things I would tell my 22-year-old self when I first started my business. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ You WILL run into situations where clients are unhappy with you (and maybe even fire you). Learn from it. Don't let it diminish your self-worth.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Set boundaries. Stop working until 3am and stop skipping dinners with friends to work.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Stop giving a sh*t what people think and just do the damn thing. I can't tell you how much I second-guessed every post, product, etc. in fear of what people would think.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Be proud of what you do and scream it from the rooftops. For the first year of my business, I was EMBARRASSED to tell people I was self-employed. I had Imposter Syndrome to the MAX.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Raise your DAMN RATES. Y'all... I can't tell you how many phone calls with my dad it took for me to raise my rates.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Lean into it. Embrace the hell out of entrepreneurship and celebrate every milestone, every client, every success.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Pay your taxes quarterly. Hot damn, if only i'd known this.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Allow yourself to be proud. I didn't let myself be proud when I got my first client. In my mind, I wasn't proud. I was scared. Could I keep this up? Am I enough of an expert to do this? Yes bish, you can and you are.

✨Stop giving your power to other people. People will judge the hell out of you. 'Friends' will make fun of your IG stories. Let them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Shine in your own light and let go of envy. Life is SO much better when you CELEBRATE other women who are killing the game instead of sulking in jealousy. There's enough to go around.

I like to use "Autumn" when I'm feeling fancy and "Fall" most other times. 🍁 Today I'm feeling fancy, so we are going with "Autumn".

I don't know if it's the season, but I'm finding myself gravitating towards "moody warm" colors like oranges and maroons instead of my usual cheery pink. 🍂

Let's be honest, Instagram is arguably the most “visual-focused” social media platform, so it’s safe to say that the quality of what you post matters.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BUT you don't need a fancy camera to capture a high-quality image. Did you know, almost all of my pictures on my Instagram (and even my website) were taken with JUST my iPhone?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are some tips for taking a high-quality iPhone pic:
1) Wipe off your camera - you'd be surprised how much gunk gets on your lens! This could make the difference between a fuzzy pic and a crisp one. 🤳🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2) Shoot in natural light - never take a picture with a light source directly behind you, unless your end-goal is a shadowy silhouette picture. Instead, keep the light source in front of you. ☀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3) Shoot in bursts for a more natural look - have the person taking your pic hold down the shutter setting of your camera, and move around (slowly) into different poses. Then, go through the pics and select the one that you like the most! Boom! "Candid" laughing pictures have never been easier! 🤣
